For people who are wondering why I havent been updating my weblog the last few days, its because I am very busy atm. At work and at home, and next to that the fibro is playing up a bit (lots of pain in me shoulders/neck and lower back). Hopefully it will all get better next week. I did a quick cheer me up shopping trip tonight and got myself some nice shoes (for only 10 euro!), a silver ring and 2 bra's :))
Installed Jaguar last night on my eMac. Took me about an hour, and then some extra time to install all my favorite programs and putting my settings the way I want to. Mail app has improved but I still have some good suggestions for more improvement (like the rulez....). Anyway I am happy with it and I like it a lot.
About half an hour ago TNT brought my package with Jaguar in it :) So I am busy installing it on my eMac right now, so far so good.
Since today Jaguar (mac os 10.2) is available, you can buy it online or in the stores :) I ordered my copy online at the apple store, and its on its way, so I hope I have it somewhere next week. I will install it right away on my eMac.
As you may have read here, I went to the concert of the Counting Crows last monday. During the concert Adam (the singer) got a t-shirt from someone in the crowd. He had a good laugh about the print on the shirt and said he would show it later to the crowd, but he never did. While lurking in a newsgroup I came across this picture:

They say this was the print on that t-shirt. *lol*
Last weekend I did get some money from some people for my birthday. With that money I went to buy myself an i-mode today. I have to tell you that I got a discount :) which made the deal worth while. So for the next few days I will be busy with my i-mode, getting ringtones and pictures and and and and.... making an i-mode site :) maybe an i-mode weblog..... For more information about i-mode visit this site. Here is a picture of how an i-mode looks like:

The concert of the Counting Crows was last night. Before we went to the Heineken Music Hall we went into Amsterdam for a nice dinner at Mr. Coco's in the centre of Amsterdam, to celebrate my boyfriends birthday (he is 30 also now :)). After that we drove to the Amsterdam Arena to park our car there and there is also Heineken Music Hall where the concert took place. The concert was really great. Arid did the support act, that is a belgian *rock* band, not really my kinda music but it could have been worse. Counting Crows played for almost 2 hours!!!! they did a lot of songs of they new album Hard Candy but they also played some old songs. Heineken Music Hall was packed, as the concert was sold out in 5 minutes after the ticket sale started :) It was warm/hot/sweaty but again it was a goood concert so it was worth it :).

Getting ready for this weekend. Its gonna be birthday party time :) On monday I will be going to Counting Crows :) And then its gonna be relax time till the end of the week. They say the weather is gonna be good for the next week. (to be honest its to hot atm for me..... and sticky.... brrr).
It took from 1 pm till 6.30 pm to get my moko done (maori tattoo). First we had a talk about who I was what I do what I have done.... and more like that. Then with that information he made a drawning on my arm/shoulder. Around 3 pm he started tattooing. The first part was okay but some parts were really painfull. And the end was very very painfull but I made and I am very proud now. On my cam you can see a little bit of the moko (camshot of august 15th, I will save the campic :). Soon I will post a better picture here but atm there is cream on it to make it heal faster.... so have a little patience. Here is a better camshot of my moko: | ![]() |
I went to the dentist today (read tuesday). After having some serious problems this year with my teeth I dont really like to go anymore. He had to finish a nerve treatment today. But it all went well, so I can wait a bit more then half a year to go and visit him again :))
What did I do on my birthday?
First of all I stayed in bed till 1 pm :)
Then we went to Bataviastad in Lelystad. Its a outlet shopping *mall*, well outlet? not the way I am used to as outlets are in the States. Dont go there!!! unless you have size 36 and go for the brandnames and still want to pay fullprice but having the idea that it was cheaper cause it said outlet! :)
After that we drove to my parents and went for dinner at a Greek restaurant, which was very good. And now I am back home and in a few minutes my birthday is over. |
I am 30 now! it sounds so old.
Send your gifts to make me feel better! :)
Just a few hours to go....
Think I am gonna stay in bed on my birthday. Old old old old old old :(
Last week I was telling here about me getting a new tattoo. After surfing a lot on the net searching tattoo's and designs I got fascinated by the Maori style. So I made an appointment with Tattooshop Hilversum to get my Maori *moko* (its not a tattoo but a moko as they explained it to me today!). To read more about what a Maori Moko is go to this link. My appointment is on august 15th, I will post a picture when I come back that night and tell you all about it. |
After a few years of not putting ink on my body it has come to a point that I want to do that again. This time I want to have a rather big tribal on my left shoulder. There are 2 problems: havent found the right design (there are 2 that I really like) and I dont know where (which tattoo shop) I want to go to for it. Went to one in Hilversum tonight but I am not sure if I will go back. So my other options are Tattoo Jan in Breda or Tattoo Bob (Katendrecht) in Rotterdam. Aaarrrggh I just want to get some ink done.
I am getting old :) just another 10 days and I will be 30. But yesterday someone thought I was 23 :) so that makes it a little bit better. Getting to this age ( I know its not THAT old) you start wondering about life, and about what will happen in the next 10 years? and think of what happened. Sometimes I wish I could be 16 again......
