This weekend some (Americans living in London:) online friends of mine are visiting Amsterdam. So we gave them a small tour and did some shopping at the Waterlooplein market. Waterlooplein is a lot of fun, the market mainly exists out of clothes/shoes/jewelry stands. I even found a nice 2nd hand winter coat :)
They have been lucky because the weather has been very nice this weekend (no rain!!).
Last Sunday it happened to me that when I was ready for taking my shower the water was cold. The heating system had stopped working. Lucky as I was after half an hour we had it working again and I could take my shower. Today the same thing happened again! But this time we couldn’t get the heating system working again :( So I had to call a mechanic to help us out. It took him a little more then half an hour to clean it out and get it working. So I took an extra long shower tonight and now I have the heather on so it’s getting warm inside the house :)
It’s so nice to have it warm again.

When I went shopping yesterday I got myself the Monsters Inc. (Monsters en co.) movie on DVD. I got the one with the extras on it, which took me some stores to find it. Think I will watch it tonight :)

Stuff like this always happen to me. Watched the DVD tonight and guess what, the saleslady did put in the wrong DVD, I got one with no extras but I paid for one with all those extras. So on Monday (yeah stores are closed on Sunday here in Holland except for a few city's) I am going to call them and get the right DVD.

Called the store today. The guy who answered first told me they only sold the movie only version, yeah right why did I pay 4 euro extra then and why tells the cover of the DVD box me otherwise? So he looked it up in the computer and saw I was right. He put one (with the extras) aside so I can go and change DVD’s on Thursday, hopefully I have another update then with good news :)

Yeah, I went to the store and got the right DVD tonight :)
As you may have read somewhere here, I have my own car. I don’t drive it every day so it sometimes happen its just parked for a week at the same spot, and after 9 months of living here nobody has ever complained about that until tonight. I parked my car about 100 meters away from our house cause that was the only free parking space on Monday afternoon. Tonight someone was at our door complaining about my car in front of his house, the spot he likes to park.
O well we would like to park our cars in front of OUR house also, but as this is a public road with public (free) parking spaces it just not always possible, wait I will correct that, its sporadically possible for us to park our car in front of our house! Yes I am a bit pissed off. Also because he must have looked up my number plate somewhere or by someone and that is how he got my address and my name!!! I don’t find this correct but what can I do?? At least keep my car parked on the spot he likes the most for the next couple of days :)
Tonight I went to the cinema in Hilversum and saw the movie Signs there.
It was a good movie, worth going for to the cinema. You can find more info about Signs at IMDB. The only things I didn’t like was people leaving on their mobile phone and getting/accepting calls during the movie and I didn’t like it when people talked (laud) during the movie. Why??? is it so hard to not answer your phone for 2 hours (and put it on silence) and be quiet?
Yeah, I am back home.
Oooow I really missed my home :) but the short break at Center Parcs was okay. The swimmingpool and its extra's were great!!! the food was good and the park was nice (big, green, clean). And it was fun to be with my boyfriend, my parents, my sister, my little nephew Lars and my sisters husband for a short week. But I missed the luxery that I have here at home, like my computers/mac with internet connection!!, dishwasher, washingmachine, dryer, satelite television and more .............
The next few days I wont be updating my weblog. I will be at a Center Parcs Park somewhere in Belgium and I will be back by the end of the week :)
This weekend is a party weekend. Last night I had the first party and today is the second party.
Party 1.
That was a party that I helped organizing for the people at the office I work.
We rented AMP Studios in Amsterdam. Dinner was indonisian food, which was very good and spicey. For entertainment we had Boom Chicago and they were very very very very good and funny. And after that it was an 80ties disco, and the DJ was a female co-worker and she did a good job, had a lot of people dancing on the floor. It was a long day and evening but it was worth it ;)
Party 2:
That is a family reunion. We will have a big bbq and lots of drinks :)

I did a security update for Internet Explorer 6 on my WindowsXP machine and since then it keeps on crashing :( XP says it has a driver problem, it seems it has to do with USB and webcams. Tried all the webcams I have here with the newest drivers but no luck. Uninstalling that patch didnt work either.... so I am reinstalling XP atm. Strange that it worked fine for almost a year and that it just started doing this after installing that patch. If anyone has a tip/solution or sugestion, let me know.

After re-installing XP everything works fine again :)

Auw Auw, I have to go to physiotherapy because of the pain in my neck and shoulder which is bugging me for more then a week now. Tomorrowmorning first session out of 12. I am curious how this physiotherapist deals with fibro patients. So if you see me looking sad/angry/depressed on a cam-shot tomorrow you know why.......
Tonight I went to the store for grocery shopping and guess what!?? I found kruidnootjes :)) For the people that arent dutch or dont know what they are its like gingerbread, but then very small and very tasty. Its a treat that we eat or give to kids around Sinterklaas. Sinterklaas is a dutch version of Santa Clause but he comes on the 5th of December instead of with Christmas.... Yeah I know we dutch people are very very strange :)) But I will enjoy my kruidnootjes!

My car was very dirty because of the trees in our street, so it was time to go to the car-wash today. When I go to the car-wash I like to stay in the car while its being washed by those big machines, and today I took my camera with me during the wash. This is one of the photo's that I took.
Next to a clean car I have a smaller atena now, I forgot to put it back in so the big car-wash machine brutaly broke it.... stupid me :)
After a few busy weeks I finaly have a long weekend of. I will start working again next tuesday. The first day of was today, and that didnt start that well, again my neck and shoulders were (and still are) hurting a lot :( so I was not able to do the things I wanted to do. Tomorrow I have a birthday-party (ow joy) and we are going to a dutch national park, called the Hoge Veluwe. We are going for a bikeride, which I think I am going to skip, I dont like biking, specialy not in the rain and not with this pain.... dont want to spend the next
few days in bed because of the pain. Sunday and monday are going to be days I will be relaxing. I will also be doing some html for this site, adding a page with some info about me :)
Update:
I did not go for the bikeride today, nor the walk in the park there. The pain was to bad, so we only went for the dinner, which was a tapas buffet and it was very good. At 8 pm we were asked to please go home *grin*, party was over :) On our way back home we had some heavy rain, seems like the summer is over finaly :( Going to make it an early night tonight, and sleep for 12 hours or so:)

Okay here is a review over my i-mode after using it for 2 weeks. As a telephone I have no comments (it works just fine). But using i-mode has some disadvantages:
-battery goes very quickly flat when you use i-mode
-crashed already once
-had some strange proxy authentication error, called the service desk, had to wait 15 minutes to get someone on the phone and then they told me to call back with another phone so we could check the settings..... well I asked them which settings, checked that myself they were all correct so I *rebooted* my i-mode and the problem gone :)
-company's ask money for their services on their i-mode pages!!!
But I still like my i-mode :))
I tried to have a relaxing weekend, altough I've been having a terrible headache for the last 3 days :( So I slept in, at least I tried, but it was hard with the people next door making a lot of noice (still remodeling their house??!!?). Watched some dvd's, Oceans Eleven and Ratrace. Watched the first TV broadcast of Veronica (back on television). And the first TV broadcast of Big Brother 4.
